NASA Spring Soccer Season Information

Thank you for visiting the Spring 2018 page!

The Spring season runs from April through the end of May.
There are several divisions from which to choose depending on the players age, skill level, and commitment interest.

Registrations for the Spring 2018 season are open, Sign up now!

The divisions are based on the player’s birth year.

Here is how it breaks down with the divisions and the corresponding birth dates, so for example, if your child was born on 10/10/10 they would be a Parent coached 2009. Hope this helps:

Parent coached 2012 – 01/01/2012 - 12/31/13

Parent coached 2009 – 01/01/09 - 12/31/2011

Parent coached 2006 – 01/01/2006 - 12/31/2008

Little Kickers – 01/01/2014 - 12/31/2015

Kickstart 2010 – 01/01/2010 - 12/31/2012

Kickstart 2007 – 01/01/2007 - 12/31/2009

Middle School – 01/01/2003 - 12/31/2005
High School - 01/01/1999 - 12/31/2003

Staff Coached Option

In the Fall we made changes to the way you sign up for a "staff coached" team, and we will continue with the same process in the Spring. All recreational players will sign up for Parent coached teams and will have the option of answering a question in the registration process
“yes or no” if they are interested in attending an assessment practice to have the opportunity to be placed on a 'staff coached' team.

Here is how that works:

1.       Register your player for the “Parent Coached” division associated with their birth year.

2.       Pay the fee online.

3.       Included in the registration process, you will have an option to select a box that says: We would be interested in trying out for a “Staff                    Coached” team.

4.       Providing we receive enough interest in a particular division, we will then have an “assessment practice” prior to the start of the season.

5.       If the “Staff Coached” team is formed, and your player is selected, we will contact you with the next steps.

6.       “Staff Coached” teams (providing we have them) will play all games at the NASA fields.

NASA Recreational Soccer Important Changes/Updates

As many of you know, the US Soccer Association has changed the age ranges within the youth soccer divisions across the entire Country.

Our Xtabi teams have been using this new system for 3 seasons and now it’s time to update the recreational divisions to line up as well. We all know that change can sometimes be confusing, and we will do our best to make this required transition as smooth as possible.

You will notice changes in the “names” of the divisions, as well as some changes to the age groups. (everything is now based on birth year and not the grade they are in at school).

We will try our best to explain this clearly, but certainly, let us know if you have any questions.

NOTE: We will still offer divisions for 3 year olds all the way through High School.

We also have had a lot of questions about Kickstart. This is a beginning level of soccer with limited commitment from the parents and players. They come to the fields only to play a game. They do not have practices. They also do not need to purchase a uniform.

I hope this helps clarify any confusion.

Thank you so much, and have a great day!!
